Olympic show jumper Nick Skelton has been appointed ambassador for the Saddle Up for Spinal Research campaign, after suffering a broken neck which left him unable to ride in 2000.
He was given the all-clear in 2002 and a spokesman commented that Skelton's recovery has inspired him 'to give hope to those who have been paralysed by supporting Saddle Up for Spinal Research'.
